Welcome to my website! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Using qualitative and quantitative methods, I study how street-level bureaucracy, primarily in the fields of criminal justice and mecidine, intersects with social inequality.
My dissertation is about occupational identities of police officers in the US, and especially how they perceive themselves in the face of activist criticism and attempts to restrict their capacity to use authority.
My research was published in American Journal of Sociology, Ethnic and Racial Studies, Criminology, Socio-Economic Review, and others. Please find my curriculum vitae here.
